Keeping up with the technical side of the blogging world is a never-ending learning curve for me; I'm forever tweaking this site and trying out new widgets (English translation: "gadgets" or "do-dads").
Well, my latest addition is actually a really kewl tool for you, my ever-loyal readers! <grin> Take a look at the top left corner of my home page - see the big orange button (Blog-Speak translation: chicklet) If you click on that button, I mean chicklet, you can subscribe to a feed of my blog. Simply put, that means that every time I post something new, you will get a notification on your server's homepage.
What's so great about that? Well, I have many, many blogs that I like to visit, but sometimes I forget or get too busy to check them all, and when I do take the time, I discover that some of them haven't had a new post in quite a while, so my visit is for nothing. That can be annoying & time-consuming. Or worse, I find that I've missed out on a sale or special announcement because I don't visit their blogs often enough! I JUST HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS, DON'T YOU?
So whenever I find a REALLY KEWL blog that I need to visit regularly, I just subscribe to it instead. Then, whenever I turn on my computer & log onto the internet, my homepage shows me a list of the blogs I've subscribed to AND which ones have posted something new. I can click onto their blogsite from my home page and in just a few seconds, I have all the news at my fingertips. How kewl is that!!!!
So try it out - just click on the orange button (OK, OK...chicklet!) and you too will have moved one tiny step further into the Twenty-First Century. (We can't fight it forever, lol.)
