I told you in yesterday's blog post all about last Saturday's Stamp-4-Fun event and how a Shoebox Swap works .. now I want to show you more of the cards that were designed by my oh-so-talented demonstrator friends:
The black and yellow beauty was created by Samantha, a demonstrator on my team who lives in Carlyle. Isn't it stunning?
Unfortunately Sam wasn't able to attend our event on Saturday, but she sent her project along, and two of our gals shared the task of stamping doubles of all the projects for her - just so she wouldn't miss out on the fun!
The little box below the card was designed by my good friend Heather of London. Heather & I go way back ... to October 2002 when we were both BRAND new demonstrators in a BRAND new company to Canada ... we quickly learned to lean on each other while we learned all we could about Stampin' Up!
Heather's creation started as a simple black box cut from a Sizzix Big Shot die, then embellished with designer series paper, ribbons, stamps, punches and markers!
And if that wasn't stunning enough, she had us stamp the inside too. And of course, a little chocolate to go in the box was a definite must - she knows us stampers well, lol.
You can't see from this second picture, but there is another square of Stampin' Up!'s new "Newsprint" designer series paper under the chocolate, similar to the outside of the box lid. The paper is all black & white, but Heather had us lightly stamp circles in blues and browns to give it a little pizazz.
I can't wait to try stamping on some of the other designer series papers in my stash - it's a great way to make something old new again!
I had to wait until now to post this particular project as Heather made more for a swap with her Stampin' Up! Convention room-mates ... by now they've held their own shoebox swap so I'm not giving away any secrets <grin>
cheers
