And today, I finally figured out how to link my blog posts from here (my TypePad blog) to my FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGE - yay, me!

What does that mean to you? Well, if you are a frequent Facebook user, you can now read all of my ramblings, hear about my newest creations, and keep up-to-date on new promotions and class offerings while you are on Facebook - that's one less website you have to click on every morning for your news!

WEBSITE IS UP AND RUNNING AGAIN

AT LAST! My business website is up and running again - including online shopping and my EVENT CALENDAR, which you can view HERE to choose your classes for March.

It's been a really annoying week starting with my credit card being used to make some pretty unusual purchases. Visa noticed right away & froze my card (good thing, sort of - I wish they had contacted me about the fraud & their plan to cancel my card on a Friday as I headed out of town for Stampin' Palooza!)

Next I had to notify all of my business contacts with pre-authorized payments to give them a temporary card number until my new one arrives. I didn't move fast enough with Stampin' Up! and my business website was deactivated, as you all know. Someone at their end was away (supervisor? IT person?) which delayed things further - but thanks to the SAMs (Service Account Managers) I'm back in business.

And all of this happened because someone hacked into the Wyndham Hotel computer back in January when I was at Leadership - so if you were there too, contact your credit card company and check out any suspicious charges.

Mine had three small amounts (10.00) all charged through different companies (that I've never heard of). According to my Visa rep, the thieves try small amounts first and if they go through unnoticed, then they use the card for something big. Pretty smart, but obviously not as smart as the card companies - thank goodness they are vigilant!

OK, enough venting/explaining .. all's well that ends well, as Shakespeare so aptly said. Life has its little difficulties now and then so we can appreciate how good it feels when they are over, lol.

Next post - I'll share the SIX, count 'em, SIX make & take projects we did this past weekend at Caroline Lebel's Stampin' Palooza in Toronto ... I had a great time and can't wait to go again in June with more of my team & special guests. Wanna come with us? Give me a shout & I'll give you all the details!

I'm sorry to say that my business website is not available this weekend ... this means that you won't be able to access my EVENTS CALENDAR or my SHOP ONLINE service until the problem is resolved.

If you need to place an order this weekend, please email me with the details and I will arrange to have it shipped directly to your door just as if you had ordered online, with not extra cost to you (beyond the usual shipping fee, of course).

BLOG MAINTENENCE

A new feature on my Blog...

I am SO proud of my Stampin' Up! Team, the Artful*Inkers, that I just have to share with you all...

As of March 17th, (the end of Sale-a-Bration and that terrific Starter Kit Special!) my team has grown to include 65 Demonstrators!! We are mostly located in the Guelph - Cambridge - Kitchener/Wateroo and surrounding areas ... but let's not forget the gals in Fergus - Burlington - Ottawa - and even two new demonstrators in Alberta!!!!

65 is a new record for us and let me tell you, we have a lot of talented and enthusiastic gals on the Artful*Inkers team. So much so, that I've started a list of my team members' blogs right here on my home page. Just scroll down on the right side and click on their names to visit their blogs and you will discover all kinds of new projects, tutorials, tips and creative inspiration to incorporate in your own rubber stamping adventures! I'll be adding new links as the newest demonstrators on my team get their blogs up and running, so be sure to check this list often!

A NEW FEATURE ON MY BLOG...

Keeping up with the technical side of the blogging world is a never-ending learning curve for me; I'm forever tweaking this site and trying out new widgets (English translation: "gadgets" or "do-dads").

Well, my latest addition is actually a really kewl tool for you, my ever-loyal readers! <grin> Take a look at the top left corner of my home page - see the big orange button (Blog-Speak translation: chicklet)  If you click on that button, I mean chicklet, you can subscribe to a feed of my blog. Simply put, that means that every time I post something new, you will get a notification on your server's homepage.

What's so great about that? Well, I have many, many blogs that I like to visit, but sometimes I forget or get too busy to check them all, and when I do take the time, I discover that some of them haven't had a new post in quite a while, so my visit is for nothing. That can be annoying & time-consuming. Or worse, I find that I've missed out on a sale or special announcement because I don't visit their blogs often enough! I JUST HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS, DON'T YOU?

So whenever I find a REALLY KEWL blog that I need to visit regularly, I just subscribe to it instead. Then, whenever I turn on my computer & log onto the internet, my homepage shows me a list of the blogs I've subscribed to AND which ones have posted something new.  I can click onto their blogsite from my home page and in just a few seconds, I have all the news at my fingertips. How kewl is that!!!!

So try it out - just click on the orange button (OK, OK...chicklet!) and you too will have moved one tiny step further into the Twenty-First Century. (We can't fight it forever, lol.)

One Step at a Time..

Bit by bit, this blog is starting to come together.

Granted, it's been awhile since I've worked on it, but it's forever on my mind (and on my to-do list, grin). I'm still learning and sometimes I feel that I'll never catch up to some of the other bloggers out there, but I'll keep at it until this site is everything I KNOW it can become.

Tonight I've created my first small photo album of the stamping I did in January - after all, what good is a stamping blog without pictures? My plan is to scan all my projects as I complete them and share them here in monthly albums. Next assignment: to find the time to turn that dream into a reality, lol.

Embracing the New Technology

I'm not one to jump on the 'Newest Thing" bandwagon, but it seems that Weblogs (or Blogs) are here to stay, lol. So, here I am...embracing the New Technology. (Thanks for the encouragement, Erica!)

As you can see, my blog is still in the early stages; in fact it'll take awhile before I finish my tutorial & learn how to add all the kewl extras like photo albums & links. But in the end it will be worth the work to finally have everything stamping-related in one location.

So, welcome to my blog! Be sure to tune in next time for more exciting adventures, lol. Same bat time, same bat channel!
